Privacy policy
On May 25, 2018, the Personal Data Act was replaced by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which aims to strengthen the protection of personal data for private individuals throughout the EU.
You are important for us
We at Lotus Hotel Group AB (Eggers Hotel & Restaurant AB, Varbergs Stadshotell & Asia Spa AB and Arken Conference Center AB) want you to feel confident in how we handle your personal information. We attach great importance to your personal privacy and have therefore produced a personal data regulation to explain what data we collect, what we use it for and how you can exercise your rights.
1. Collection of information and tracking
1.1 Registration of personal data
When you register with us by phone, email, online booking or visit, we save your contact details in order to efficiently manage your bookings or other available services with us. We send newsletters to inform you about offers and current events. You can always unsubscribe from these via a link in our newsletters. Postal mailings also occur.
1.2 Cookies
On your first visit to our website, a so-called "cookie" automatically is sent to your computer. A cookie is a small text file that contains information and is stored on the visitor's computer. Cookies are used for technical reasons to enable you to use the website in the best possible way and for us to register visitor statistics. We also use Google Analytics to improve our service, ease of use and to analyze how the site is used. Read more about how Google uses your information and what cookies we use HERE >
We, like so many others, use Facebook's technology for marketing ("FACEBOOK PIXEL"). This pixel is used in cases where the visitor has actively chosen to accept cookies for ad customization. We use these cookies to provide you with personal and as relevant content as possible in other channels, such as social media and search engines. This may apply to special offers or news. We do not see any personal information about you and you can always turn off the use of cookies in the browser settings. This feature is important to us to gain knowledge of our visitors' use and provide you with the best experience.
2. Pictures on the website and publications on social media
We are cautious when publishing photos of individuals on the website or social media. Our policy is that posts that directly identify an individual with name and image may only be made if the person has given their consent to the publication.
We often take pictures and in some cases movie sequences at the events we organize. These may be published on our website and / or our channels in social media without the consent of anyone who appears in the picture. If you wish to attend an event but not be photographed, please notify us in connection with the registration or at the event and we will respect your wishes.
Our idea when we choose to publish a picture is that it should serve a purpose and not be perceived as offensive or pointing to any individual or group. If you still consider that we have published a picture or post that identifies you personally and that you do not feel comfortable with, contact us and we will immediately remove the picture both externally and internally.
3. Security of information
We always handle your data reliably and we do not pass this information on to third parties. However, we may disclose your personal information to suppliers who, for example, provide IT services, media selection or advertising for our business. Recipients who handle personal data on our behalf should always enter into a so-called personal data access agreement with us, in order to ensure that your data is handled correctly and securely.
4. Collection of data when booking with an online travel agency (OTA)
When you book a hotel through an online booking agency, such as booking.com or hotels.com, you submit your personal information to them. These personal data are responsible for and handled by the respective players in accordance with their personal data policy. When a booking is completed through an OTA, they send certain personal information to the respective hotel to confirm that the booking is made.
When booking through a travel agency, you submit your personal information to the travel agency yourself and agree that the travel agency processes these in their business. The travel agency can therefore identify you eg. using your booking number.
We are not responsible for the respective players' handling of the personal data you have provided directly to them. If you want to delete your data, you must contact the respective booking agency yourself.
5. Access to information
You may request once a year to retrieve all information stored through a written self-signed request sent to:
Hôtel Eggers, Drottningtorget 2–4, SE-411 03 Göteborg
In the letter, we want you to state your name, address, e-mail, telephone number and social security number in addition to your case. Answers will be sent to your Census Address.
6. Change and deletion of information
If you believe the information we have stored about you is incorrect, please contact us and we will update it. Information that we no longer use is erased on an ongoing basis. You can ask us to delete your information at any time, after any legal requirements are no longer met.
7. When does this pollution apply?
Our personal data regulation applies to all our registries and services linked to our websites.
Our websites may contain links to other websites. When you choose to visit these, our Personal Data Regulation no longer applies.
